Danie Cronjé obtained B.Comm (Law) and LLB degrees from the University of Stellenbosch. He joined Cluver Markotter Inc in 1998.

Danie specialises in liquor law and advises clients on applications for liquor licences under the applicable provincial liquor acts as well as on registrations as manufacturers or distributors under the national Liquor Act.

His practice includes the management of the liquor licence portfolios of major roleplayers in the wine industry.

His client base includes a leading supermarket group, liquor wholesalers, a large number of wine estates and co-operatives as well as a number of restaurants.

He has published articles on liquor law on the internet as well as in Wineland magazine.

Danie obtained an Advanced Diploma in Labour Law Practice from the University of Potchefstroom and assists the firm’s Labour Law Department in labour matters.

He has extensive experience in applications in terms of the Extension of Security of Tenure Act, 62 of 1997 (ESTA) applicable to evictions from agricultural land and he assists the firm’s Litigation Department with applications.
