Peter Hill's areas of speciality are litigation in the Magistrate’s Court and in the High Court as well as any other forum; general legal work, including matrimonial and family law matters.
After completing his studies (B.Proc at University of the Free State and LLB at the University of Natal), Peter did an obligatory stint in the Defence Force and commenced articles at EG Cooper & Sons in Bloemfontein from where he was transferred to Van der Watt & Partners in Odendaalsrus. Peter joined the Stellenbosch firm of Meintjes & Champion in 1984 and became a partner in 1985. Meintjes & Champion merged with Cluver Markotter Inc. in 1995.
Peter represented the first team of both Universities at hockey and also played 3rd league squash.
He is a past president of the Stellenbosch Rotary Club and a Paul Harris Fellow and has served on the governing bodies of both Rhenish Primary School and Rhenish Girls High School.
In his spare time, Peter plays golf and league squash. He also is an ardent motor racing fan.
He is married with two adult children.
